Brad Pitt looked somber as he was seen on set of his latest project The Continuing Adventures Of Cliff Booth on Tuesday, August 5 in Gardena — the same day his mother Jane Etta Pitt reportedly passed away.
The Oscar-winner’s family confirmed Jane’s death in a social media post shared Wednesday but a public obituaryclaimed that the Pitt matriarch actually died on August 5 at the age of 84.
However, an exact time of death was not revealed in the obituary published by the Springfield News-Leader.
It is unclear if Jane’s sudden passing — which came just days before her 85th birthday — occurred before or after Brad’s time on set on Tuesday.
The upcoming movie is a sequel to Quentin Tarantino‘s 2019 film Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood.
However, the filmmaker is not working on the follow-up and instead David Fincher is directing the Netflix project.
