If you’re anything like me, you probably first discovered Pottery Barn through an old episode of Friends when Rachel buys an apothecary table from the brand, then tries to cover up her purchase from high street-phobic Phoebe (who consequently falls for Pottery Barn herself).
Even at the time I remember thinking that shop looks chic. Pottery Barn is known for its covetable aesthetic incorporating natural textures, rich wood, and the laidback, elegant feel of coastal living.
Founded in New York in 1949, Pottery Barn has been a beloved American retail chain for decades – and now you can buy it in one of our own high street stalwarts in the UK. That’s because as of this month,John Lewis customers will be able to orderPotteryBarnproducts online, while the range will hit selected stores in spring 2026.
The collection spans over 200 thoughtfully designed pieces, and includes furniture, lighting, textiles and decorative accessories. Prices range from £14 for a Taper Candle Holder, to £3,299 for a Grand Upholstered Sofa.
The palette plays with deep ocean blues, heritage greens, soft chambrays and sandy neutrals. It’s the type of stuff you’d expect to see in your most stylish friend’s rustic chic living room. Think brushed woods, calming colours and considered accessories.
The range is currently dropping online (we have our eyes fixed on this seagrass basket which will be available soon!), but there is plenty you can buy already. Here are some of our favourite pieces from Pottery Barn at John Lewis.
