Love Is Blind season 5 alum Stacy Snyder is revealing how much money she received in the million-dollar class action lawsuit filed against the show producers.
“Finally getting paid for the plot line,” Stacy, 37, recently captioned a TikTok video. “There’s so much more I could say, but I’m sharing this in hopes that it helps fellow castmates feel seen and heard. I knew reality TV wasn’t going to be conventional — but no one signs up to be exploited, especially not for free.”
Us Weekly confirmed in July 2022 that season 2 alum Jeremy Hartwell sued Netflix and Kinetic Content, claiming that show producers “intentionally underpaid” contestants and “deprived them of food, water and sleep.” Kinetic Content, meanwhile, denied the claims.
“Mr. Hartwell’s involvement in season 2 of Love is Blind lasted less than one week,” a rep for the production company told Us in a statement. “Unfortunately, for Mr. Hartwell, his journey ended early after he failed to develop a significant connection with any other participant. While we will not speculate as to his motives for filing the lawsuit, there is absolutely no merit to Mr. Hartwell’s allegations.”

Kinetic reached a settlement with Jeremy, 36, and other cast members involved in December 2024.
“There are a lot of people who have been treated extremely poorly, including myself, [who] are afraid to speak up for themselves ‘cause there’s always this threat of, ‘It’s in your contract,’” Stacy claimed, discussing her decision to participate in the lawsuit. “For anyone who thinks this is an attention ploy or fake news, this is a real thing. The treatment was so s***ty.”
Flashing a photo of the check, Stacy revealed how much she’s “owed” after two months of filming. She received a check for $8,287.67, which was dated April 2025. (Stacy was briefly engaged to Izzy Zapata during her season.)
“This is more than I got paid filming an entire season of 12- to 20-hour workdays,” she quipped in her TikTok video. “I’m, like, shaking. I don’t know if I’m mad or happy. I’m happy, obviously, [but] it’s more of the justice piece and not the money. It’s just sick that people who have power take advantage of people they know don’t know any better in these situations.”

According to Stacy, she was told about her initial filming stipend when she applied for Love Is Blind and allegedly earned $1,000 per week.
“You don’t take into consideration that you’re working 20-hour days,” she said. “Not only is it an opinion of, ‘That’s F’ed up,’ [but] it’s against labor laws.”
Kinetic has not publicly addressed the lawsuit settlement. Us has reached out for comment.
