Katy Perry didn’t let a prop malfunction stop her from performing her Lifetimes Tour concert on Friday, July 18.

Perry, 40, belted “Roar” atop a flying butterfly prop during her concert at San Francisco’s Chase Center, per social media footage. As Perry held onto the reins, the wiring abruptly shifted and caused the entire unit to fall a few feet lower.

Perry briefly stopped singing as she tried to regain her balance. Once the prop leveled out, Perry continued belting, “And you’re gonna hear me roar.”

After the show, the pop star joked about the unexpected malfunction.
