Bill Belichick and North Carolina football are headed to Hulu.

The Disney-owned streaming service and producer EverWonder Studios are finalizing an agreement to create a docuseries about Belichick, 73, and his new gig as Tar Heels head coach, according to Front Office Sports.

EverWonder already has plenty of experience producing sports content, having worked on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight in November 2024 and the NFL Christmas Day games on Netflix.

The news comes after the school’s Hard Knocks deal fell through with HBO at the last minute, reportedly in part due to the involvement of Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

Jordon Hudson pulled an all-nighter to get her bedazzled gameday ‘fit in order. Hudson, 24, showed off a custom-made University of North Carolina sweatshirt she made for herself via her Instagram Story on Thursday, December 26. “Two…Eternities…Later,” Hudson captioned a picture of the iconic UNC logo studded with Carolina blue sparkles. She added, “This is […]

While the title of the docuseries is still unknown, FOS also reports that a firm controlled by Hudson, 24, has registered trademarks for “Chapel Bill (Bill’s Version),” “Do Your Job: (Bill’s Version)” and “No Days Off (Bill’s Version).” Each option appears to be a nod to Taylor Swift’s re-releases of her old albums.

The Athletic reported in April that when North Carolina’s deal with HBO fell through, Hudson “played an instrumental role in stopping the production, related to her request to be heavily involved in the project.”

NFL Films was set to begin shooting Hard Knocks in Chapel Hill on March 1, before Jessica Boddy, NFL vice president for commercial operations and business affairs, explained to North Carolina’s counsel in an email that “the conversation took a turn we were not comfortable with.”

Though Boddy offered to reimburse the school for its losses, UNC reportedly lost out on $200,000 in facility fees and even more in exposure.

Bill Belichick gives a special shout-out to his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, in his new book, which has already stirred controversy and conversation before its publication. Belichick, 73 calls Hudson, 24, his “idea mill and creative muse” in The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football, according to an advanced copy of the book […]

At the time, it was the latest drama in a string of incidents around Belichick and Hudson. Just days before, the coach appeared on CBS to promote his book, “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.” When he was asked how he met Hudson, she interrupted the interview to shut the question down.

Belichick released a statement after-the-fact to clarify that he had agreed to speak only about the book during the interview. CBS responded with a statement of its own, denying that there was ever such an agreement in place.

Then, after the Hard Knocks project deteriorated, rumors swirled that UNC had banned Hudson from its football facilities — something the university later denied.

Belichick, an eight-time Super Bowl champion in the NFL, is set to begin his first season coaching college football in the fall. His first game with North Carolina will be at home against Texas Christian University on Monday, September 1.
